Happy chandeleur / candlemas! My neighbor already made crepes de blé noir for us, but I'm dying to try proper crepes suzette with the sauce and everything. Thanks!
I'm going to try this recipe - thank you - at least partly because my appetite for all things crepe/pancake is about twice and year and I can't help thinking this is all wrong...and maybe I just need to get more stuck in to cross the bridge to the pancakes of dreams
I grew up in a French-Canadian household, consisting of our family and our mémère who only spoke French and was a basic cook. But we were raised on crêpes for breakfast -- always sweet (with powdered sugar or maple syrup) never as a dessert. They were nothing ever so fancy as Crêpes Suzette, which I've always wanted to try, and perhaps I will -- my grandkids love my crêpes when they stay over, and I usually have extra. Thank you!
